After all his recent successes, Bryn Kenny has moved into the Global Poker Index (GPI) top ten list

Bryn Kenney Enters The GPI Top Ten

Bryn KenneyThe Global Poker Index (GPI) crowned its first year under the tutelage of Alexandre Dreyfus, with a glittering awards ceremony at the Aviation Club de France (ACF), where the 2012 Player of the Year (POY) awards were distributed under the watchful eye of the beautiful Kara Scott.

Awards went to the likes of Marvin Rettenmaier (European POY), Jen Kyllonen (Internet POY), and the host, Kara Scott (Personality of the Year), but the GPI ball keeps on rolling. The 2012 POY race may be over, but the 2013 race has just begun.

The GPI top ten sees just one change this week as Bryn Kenney inches into the number 10-spot. The beau of the delectable Ana Marquez replaces Mike "SirWatts" Watson as the newest member of the top ten.

There are nine newcomers in the top 300 spots, and leading that pack is Andrew Robl. It's been a barnstorming start for good2cu after his win at the Aussie Millions AU$100,000 Challenge for a nicely rounded off AU$1,000,000 - and he makes his grand entrance in 172nd place.

Falling out at the other end are players of the ilk of Martins Adeniya, Ronny Kaiser, and Tony Dunst. There is also a 2012 GPI award winner in this unfortunate group as Europe's Leading Lady, Lucille Cailly, also fails to make the top 300-spots.

The next tournament to contain GPI point-attaining events is the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Deauville. Last year's winner, poker expert, Vadzim Kursevich, is actually the GPI's biggest faller this week, after dropping 74-places into 221st place.
